Life is beyond busy right now. I've anxiously packed my bags, and all that's left is to clean the floors and charge all the electronics. I am anxious. I forced myself to eat dinner because I was not hungry, but I knew I need to eat something. Today has been go go go getting last minute stuff done, and I know I've forgotten to do something. Brian gets home tomorrow afternoon & doesn't leave until Monday; he can do all the things I forgot. Please pray that they all our name for the flight tomorrow. Kennedy and I prayed during her bedtime prayers, and she is so confused. She keeps asking, "what will they call us?" I keep telling her that its not for sure that we will get on the plane, and they will call Tiana & Kennedy if we do. Poor thing is so excited to fly. If we don't get to leave tomorrow we will both be in tears. So, just pray.
Here is a pic of my girl on Mother's Day:
It was an uneventful, boring day without my husband to celebrate with. Our day consisted of brunch on base with other husbandless women and playing outside.
We hope to see y'all in a few days! Wish us luck.

Stress, Anxiety, Regret....all of the above
I am stressed!!!!!! I am totally regretting not paying the $850 a piece for us to get back to TX next week. I keep hearing more and more people saying that they are trying to get on the military plane next week. What was I thinking? I have to get to TX! This isn't a just for fun trip. Brian isn't here to help ease my anxiety, and all I do in my spare time is think about this trip. This trip that means so much to my husband and his family. I have prayed for peace and the faith to trust God in this situation. I have no other choice than to keep praying, but I'm not sleeping or eating well due to this stress. I am just exhausted and I want to get the next few days over with. By the end of next week my fate will be established. Will I be in TX or will I be sitting here in Italy? Please pray for me. I really need some peace in my life right now. Off to bed now...Goodnight!

Highlights
Since its been awhile since I've posted, I'm just going to list a few of the highlights of our last few weeks.
*2 Fridays ago Brian got sent home from work, and was on quarters for the weekend. We had tons of plans that weekend. I felt so bad that Brian had to stay home with his earache while K & I hung out with our friends. After taking tons of medicine over the past 2 weeks, the earache is gone, but he's still fighting off congestion.
*2 Sunday's ago, we headed to Parco Verde Zoo with some families from the Chapel. Kennedy loves animals, so she was in heaven. This was our second trip to this zoo, so she kept telling me how she wanted to see the seals. When we got to the zoo she wanted to see elephants also. There aren't elephants at this zoo, and it greatly disturbed her. She kept getting out the map insisting that there were elephants. We finally convinced her there we no elephants, and we'd try to go to a zoo in TX that had them. Here are a few pics:
*The following week was spent doing our normal routine, but was a little extra busy due to a BBQ that another wife & I hosted for Brian's work. His office was getting ready for TDY's and they were all going their different ways for a few weeks, so we figured it'd be great to get everyone together. Things went pretty smoothly except I learned something. Don't ask everyone to bring a side and meat for their family. The result is tons of meat and no sides. We literally had 10 racks of ribs, 5 steaks, kabobs, 3 packages of hot dogs, and 20 hamburgers for 20 people. There was so much meat!
*Last weekend was the first beautiful weekend we've had here in Maniago. It has been raining since forever, and it was finally in the high 60's/low 70's. We got so much accomplished, ate dinner out on the patio, and spent time at the park. Our park visit took a turn for the worse when Kennedy fell, and hurt her foot. She didn't walk for about 18 hours, so on Monday morning I called the Dr. As we are driving to our 9AM appointment, she informs me that her foot is all better. I'm thinking yea she just doesn't want to go to the dr., but when we get there she actually walks. She is severely limping, but she's putting pressure on the foot. Come to find out, she just had bruising and slight swelling, but no broken bones or sprains. By Thursday she was back to normal.
*Brian left last Tuesday, the 27th, for another 2 1/2 week training in Germany. He will get home 3 days before he leaves for the great state of Texas! He is so excited to get this training done and get to spend time with his brothers. Right now, K & I are missing him so much! K actually told me today that she missed her Daddy & she loved him. This is a big deal for her. Brian has been home for 8 months now, but we still struggle with her relationship with him. It makes me teary-eyed to think about her love for him. She doesn't understand why things are they way they are. I just want to make her happy. I never thought we'd be the military brat/spoiling to compensate for the lack of a parent kind of people, but I see how it happens. Maybe I won't be like that with an older child, but right now its easier to say, "We will meet Dad in TX and then go to see Shamu." She still doesn't grasp the concept of days or weeks, so this is the easiest thing I've found to do. Give her something to look forward to. So, we are looking forward to flying on a plane (something K loves to do) & going to SeaWorld (something we have to look up on the computer at least 2 times a week).
*This past week has been full of girl time with our awesome girlfriends here! It has been fun getting to hang out and bond over PWOC, movies, the gym, & sleepovers.
Mundane boring things will ensue this week. There is so much preparation required to leave your life behind for 2 weeks. Please please pray that we make our flight out of here. More updates on a regular basis...I promise!

Teenage Anitcs
That is how my girlfriend put our weekend activities. We have been busy busy bees around our house, but this Friday was the most fun I've had in a while. We had a Girls Sleepover for all of us whose husbands are gone. It was such a blessing to spend time with awesome Christian friends. I haven't had a "sleepover" since I was in college; it was great fun! We painted nails, played games, chatted, and did all things girl. The most shocking thing is that we stayed up until 3AM...yep, 3AM! I got 4 hours of sleep! Kennedy was nice enough to let me take a nap on Saturday. It is so nice to have friends to keep you company when your spouse is away. Until the next sleepover where more memories are made, I'll be laughing about the good times we had this weekend!
