Terrific Thursday!

Today, Thursday, is my one day this week without obligations.  I have plenty of tasks to complete at home, but I'm mostly planning on doing what Kennedy wants to do.  We really have been doing nothing too exciting since Brian has been gone so much.  On the weekends we've been at the beach, and during the week I'm busy doing whatever stay at home mom's do.  There is always something to do!  I have failed to bring our camera to the beach lately; I will do so if we go this weekend.    


I have a few exciting things on my horizon: planning the kick-off for PWOC (my Bible study group), taking a trip to Orlando/Disney, getting back to the gym, & sending my girl off to preschool. Kennedy finally got called to start gymnastics, so we are going to try doing that.  She is still enrolled in  Ballet; she can chose to do both or only one. She was offered the choice of soccer, but she said, "I don't want to kick the ball outside."  I want her exposed to all her options, but I don't want to overwhelm her or force her to do any "sport".  Anyways, I need to go jog, but here's a video of Ms. Kennedy being cute...

What a thought

Last night I had an idea, a thought, that I had not really thought through.  I mentioned this "thought" to my husband via telephone conversation, and he ran with.  Brian started asking me all kinds of questions that he expected answers to.  He began to make plans based upon this thought.  Now what could I be talking about? 


Taking a Vacation!!!

We have vacation time scheduled at the end of August for 2 weeks.  What are we to do for 2 weeks that costs little or no money? That doesn't require driving on the autostrada, or flying, or taking public transportation in Europe?  Hmmmm....maybe hop on the military plane for a weeks worth of vacation at Disney/Orlando? Yep!  Plans are only in the beginning stages, but we figured why not.  The problem with traveling in Europe is:
1.) August is when all the Europeans travel and everything is jammed packed with people.  This leads to extra surcharges, high priced hotels, bad traffic, etc.  
2.) The Euro vs. Dollar rate. 

Some of y'all may not know that this is Brian's last hurrah before the BIG "D" happens.  We want to do something memorable, but relaxing at the same time.   Kennedy's one request has been to go to Disney.  Little Ms. World Traveller is expecting Disneyland Paris, but Paris is just too expensive.  To do Disney Paris for 3 days will cost us about $2500.  Disney & Orlando for a week will cost maybe $1000.  We will see if things work out and if we can even get on the Space A plane, but maybe we'll be seeing the land of Stars & Stripes in the near future. 

I think this may be a crazy plan, but we have to live sometime.
